Day 3 in Barcelona, isn’t that exciting? Now, itinerary:
- Museum of Fun + Museum of Illusion
- Sitges (and meeting our amazing police friend, of course, beach day was mandatory).
- Maybe a romantic dinner with tapas? Who knows.
Big fun museum
If you would like to try a different experience, other than visiting famous architecture around a city, maybe this could be just perfect for you:
The big fun museum contains 8 museums under the same ceiling in the heart of Barcelona! Guinness Museum, upside down house, sweet museum, giant’s house, Alice through the Looking Glass, Food Art, museum of Madness + Magic Room! And only five minutes away from Big Fun you may see the Museum of Illusions with 3D paintings. You can find it in the heart of La Rambla, close to the famous market La Boqueria.
We visited a big, fun museum+ museum of illusions, I saw my twin Audrey Hepburn, fruit paintings, aliens, a creepy dude who eats metals, and a giant, I got my pants wet in the horror house, it was really interesting (I hate horror). Fortunately, we got to the magic world of pinky ice cream and an upside-down house on the second floor.

After that we walked 5 minutes to the Museum of Illusions, it’s actually good they even put the spot on the floor to get the perfect perspective of the picture. We spent our morning having fun, and then we ate tapas (This time: ensalada rusa y aros de queso iberico con alioli y buñuelos de bacalao, I’m starving now) and headed to the train station, well, actually, we bought my mum’s famous bombones and then stopped by the hotel for a second, I changed my heels and then we headed to the train station.

Sitges

As I mentioned on the itinerary list, we agreed to visit this family friend I hadn’t seen for years, so we decided to meet at the train station in Sitges.
Barcelona trains and metro work very efficiently, you have everything at once and in one place; Sitges is about 40 minutes away by train from Barcelona, I have to admit we also decided to go because my friend R told me the beaches are very lovely, so we would kill two birds with a shoot.
Once we arrived, we waited for my friend R and then he gave us a tour around the town, Sitges is a fishing village by the sea, the houses have the stamp of it, between blue, yellow and white, I couldn’t take enough pictures, R was in a hurry, but my eyes had the delight of seeing the arounds. Plus, we had to make Isaac try the Horchata.

R had to go after we drank the Horchata, so he showed us the beach and then we greeted him, I hugged him like twice, I’m very sentimental.
We had a great time in the Mediterranean Sea, the water was not as blue as in Portugal but it was fresh and a bit salty, I loved it, and my husband did too (He doesn’t have this kind of beach, bear with him).
After we got back to the hotel, we wanted to have sort of a romantic dinner, but the problem is restaurants are crowded in Barcelona, but we waited and then had a lovely dinner in the barra of the restaurant, my favourite tapas until now.

Thank you so much for having us, Vinitus! 🥰 The food is on another level 💓
That’s enough for today, see you in the next post!
