On day two we decided to go to the Arc de Triomphe, Tour Eiffel and Galeries Lafayette, I’m a huge fan of getting things in order and done, as my schedule is programmed to.
So I picked my Parisian outfits for this trip with so much care.
For this day, I wore a red tube skirt with a white corset and red high heels, I adore heels I’m telling you, the thing is, from the hotel to the Arc de Triomphe, our first stop, was at an hour of walking, I was really optimistic at the beginning of the walking “Yeah, I’m smashing this”, my fiancè, on the other hand, was worried of my wellbeing, I don’t blame him.
We got to the Ar de Triomphe after one stop at the local seats and a complaint about my protruding blisters, was it worth it? Yes, every step.
The Arc was crowded as one can expect, but that was not going to avoid me to take stupendous pictures and possibly with the help of a victim, another one with my man.

Curiosity!
If you look closely at the Arc de Triomphe where the names are engraved you’d noticed this name: Miranda

Sebastián Francisco de Miranda and Rodríguez Espinoza, noted how Francisco de Miranda was a Venezuelan general, politician and patriot. One of the most important characters for Venezuela is named in history books, curiously they don’t talk about him in European books.
In 1791 he arrived in Paris, where he was drafted into the revolutionary army, participating, with honour, in the battle of Valmy in the 1792 campaign to conquer the Netherlands under the command of the Army of the North. After this enterprise, he was appointed Marshal of France and here he began his conversion to the revolutionary ideal which, later on, he will try to export to his motherland.
Arrested again during the Reign of Terror, he managed to escape: his name is engraved among the most important personalities among those engraved under the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
He also participated in the American Revolution South American War of Independence.
Interesting huh?
For the next stop: Eiffel Tower, we took the metro, my feet couldn’t tolerate any other step.

We walked to the big garden to have a better view, and of course, take pictures. I felt flattered to hear the compliments of girls when they saw me, one even got behind me and told me “You are so beautiful”, I was melting 🥺 wherever you are, you are all so sweet!

And last but not less important, after a lovely chilling time in the park we went back to the hotel, we planned to go to the Galeries in the afternoon after lunch and I obviously opted to change to comfortable shoes and fresh clothes.
Galerie Lafayette is an upmarket French department store chain, the biggest in Europe. Its flagship store is on Boulevard Haussmann in the 9th arrondissement of Paris but it now operates in a number of other locations in France and other countries. In 2019, Galeries Lafayette recorded earnings of over five billion euros. It is a part of the company Groupe Galeries Lafayette.
It’s one of the most famous galleries for its architecture and because it contains fancy fashion brands, mostly clothes, and some gourmet restaurants.
We were not going to buy anything, my interest was only to observe the architecture and take again pictures.

If you want more details about the clothes, prices in France, whatever, leave me a comment.
Until the next post 😘
