Cascate de Pesio

Pis del Pesio

I adore mountains, they’re a wonder, with magnificent things hidden. The one in the pics is rich in fauna and flora, supporting very remarkable plant biodiversity, there are around 1500 species such as Saxifraga cernua and Viola pinnata 🌼💐😍✨

Among the most conspicuous faunal presence, we can mention those of typically alpine species such as chamois, marmot, eagle and black grouse 🦌🦫🐐🦅

Last Sunday we visited Cascate del Pesio, it was lovely and fresh taking into consideration it’s getting warm this time of the year already!🥵

Pis del Peso is normally a phenomenon famous for its waterfalls that fall almighty after rainy periods, unfortunately, when we went there was no rainfall for a week.😫

The surface rains and the snow that melts in the Càrsene basin, penetrating the underground cavities of the karst soil, feed tunnels, siphons and underground lakes, giving rise in spring to the splendid Pis del Pesio waterfalls. The itinerary, spectacular for the environments, takes place inside the Marguareis Natural Park with a route that starts from Pian delle Gorre.

Nevertheless, it was wonderful, I love the team Diatrekking, CAI, Jada ODV and Dolci passi. Thanks for bringing life to all of us, and to support the diabetes community 💙
